Hey Church Family!
On Sunday the "Together Campaign" officially launched. It was a wonderful day of worship and unity as the whole church heard a message from Pastor Steve about Jesus, our cornerstone. We also handed out guide books for you to use with the sermon series, in preparation for Commitment Sunday, May 21st.
Here are a few quick updates on our campaign and renovation planning progress:
There are several campaign committees working together to guide this process - a steering committee, design committee, an operations committee, a prayer committee, a finance committee and a neighborhood-outreach committee. These groups are made up of a mix of staff, council members, and congregation. Thanks to all who are serving during this campaign!
The design committee has just completed the "design detail" phase of the renovation planning. After countless hours, meetings, discussions and revisions, we are now able to share the plan out for pricing to make sure we balance the needs of the project against our set budget. By mid-May we will have solid pricing, allowing the finance and design committee to lock-in the plan before sub-contracting begins.
The process of moving things from Lytham to Mill Run is underway. Offices are being prepared and relocated, the preschool is continuing to prepare to move over summer and the ministries at Lytham are making plans for how and when they will meet at Mill Run during renovations.
We have received a few new images from our design partners at MA Design that were not included in your guide book. These will be shared at the congregational meeting this Sunday, and then posted to this blog next week.
Please be sure to make use of the additional resources throughout the campaign: this blog for updates, the small group curriculum and videos, and the Daily Worship site with daily devotionals connected to what we are hearing on Sundays.
Thanks for taking time to stay up-to-date on campaign and renovation news. Please continue to pray for all of the moving parts of this process, and for the unity and vitality of our congregation. In Christ, Aaron Thompson
