What an amazing couple of weeks it has been!

We have reached a really exciting point in our Together campaign. The building has been open for tours, open houses, preschool, and now the soft launch of worship. I want to take some time to share photos with you and celebrate what has happened over these last few weeks. 

First, we had a week of tours of the building led by the congregation. Many thanks to the “ambassadors” who agreed to be trained and then to give time to lead others on tours of the campus. On Sunday, August 24, we also had an open house for people to come and explore the building. Over the course of the week, about 300 people came through the building to see the updates and changes.    

That week we also had the preschool open house and the start of kindergarten. Most families registered for preschool at Lytham Road came through to see the newly refreshed classrooms and playground. It was amazing to see the kids already making this refreshed space their own.  

Finally, last week, we received occupancy for the building and then we were able to host our first worship service back in the space. It was a glorious morning of community and worship, maybe best captured in the opening to Pastor Joe’s sermon – “Welcome home, neighbors.” Here are some pictures of the the prayer walk to the building, social time in the lobby, fireside lounge, and worship in the sanctuary. 

And we are just getting started! This Sunday is the grand opening – where we are inviting the neighborhood to join us for worship and for celebration after the second service. We will have worship at 9:00 am and 11:00 am at both the Mill Run and Lytham Road Campuses, and then we invite all members of UALC to join for the celebration at Lytham after the second service.
