Hi Church Family,

I’m excited to share with you some new photos from the project at the Lytham Road Campus. In these photos, you’ll see areas of the building that are nearing completion, and you can begin to imagine how they will be used for ministry for years to come!

First, in this photo of the sanctuary, you see new lights, a view of the chancel, and pews installed in place. There is still work being done: AVL work, pew upholstery, carpeting, etc. But it is so encouraging to see it starting to look like a sanctuary again. Along with the photos of the sanctuary, you’ll see some pictures below of Scriptures that were written on the chancel by members of church council. There are passages of worship, as well as passages about preaching God’s Word, and sharing the Sacraments.

Second, you can see the new playground that will serve both the preschool ministry and the neighborhood. This playground is larger in size than the old one. It also has a new fence, new accessible and safe ground cover, and lots of fun new equipment for the kids.

You will also see the new signage next to the playground – this new “face” of the building is part of our effort to be welcoming to our neighbors.

Finally, there is a picture of a preschool classroom. All of the equipment for the preschool has been moved from Mill Run over to Lytham Road and will soon get in place for the new school year.

Thanks to the many people who volunteered to help with that move! It’s exciting to see a classroom taking shape once again.

Please continue to be praying for this final phase of the project. In particular, I’d ask that you be praying for some important inspections that we expect to have next week. We are praying for timely and successful completion of those inspections. And please be praying for those working at the site – for the contractors and subcontractors, and for our staff who are working to prepare the building for use this fall.

In Christ,

Aaron
