Praise God!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow, praise him all creatures here below, praise him above ye heavenly host, praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
We praise God for his work in our church and our people. It was a beautiful (and unexpected) Sunday as we worshiped together at the Mill Run Campus.
We’re excited to share that over 500 households have participated thus far and committed to $11,184,000 (and counting)! We are humbly grateful. We’ll share more details, and highlights soon.
The church is a house we build together
Dear UALC Family,
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).
June 4 was a wonderful moment in the life of our church. It was more than I imagined, and different from what any of us asked for. But God brought our Together campaign to an unforgettable crescendo. We prayed and sang and heard powerful testimonies. And I got to share with you that the people of UALC have collectively committed $11,051,848 (and counting!) to our Together campaign, well over our already ambitious $10 million goal.
As your pastor, I’m so full of joy and gratitude. It’s a blessing to get to be part of God’s work at UALC in this season. I hope you feel the same way. And I am eager to see what else God has in store for us that we haven’t yet asked or imagined.
Now the next step is figuring out how to move forward in this project as quickly as we can. We have another team that is working diligently on this and have been for some time. We will keep you updated as we make progress.
I am reminded of the words of the apostle Paul in Philippians 1:3, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." It is truly a special privilege and honor to be your pastor. Thanks be to God!
God will build the house. And we get to build with him. Together.
